Breuddwydio
This is a song I wrote in Rockfield Studios with some good friends of mine at Pro7ect. This was my first shot at writing a Welsh song and I love it. The translation of the title to English is ‘Dreaming’.At its core, the song is about longing and dreaming of the future. It’s about forgetting about your past to move on and move forward, while being careful to not leave yourself behind in the process. This is of course very personal to me, as I, and most people, am always anxious when thinking of the uncertainty of my future.I love the simplicity of the instrumentation in this song and it puts the spotlight on the lyrical content of the song. I think the instruments and the melody having a sort of dream-like faraway feel perfectly reflect the emotion of this song. It’ll always be a favourite of my works.I feel very fortunate to have 'Breuddwydio' played on BBC Wales Introducing with Adam Walton on his late night show. Here's a link to the episode on BBC Sounds:
